ABOUT
I’ve been in this industry long enough to know what actually holds up.
I’m Anje Pearson, founder of Women In PR, a veteran publicist, brand architect, and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience across entertainment, fashion, and brand strategy.
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Relations from UC Berkeley, but my real education came from building and working inside the industry at every level.
My career started on the road as a dancer for MC Hammer, touring globally for five years and gaining a real understanding of how the entertainment industry operates behind the scenes.
I later moved into PR at Arista Records in New York, working alongside artists like Pink, Usher, Outkast, and Linkin Park, before stepping into leadership as Urban Music Director at S.O.B.’s in Manhattan.
I transitioned into fashion in the early 2000s, working with agencies like Company Agenda and brands including Betsey Johnson, Steve Madden, Sean John, and Versace, producing over 250 events across Paris and Milan Fashion Week and luxury activations for Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
I’ve built multiple brands and platforms, including Rogers Pearson, Women In PR, PR Clarity, Madison + Rodeo, and Muse + Nomad.
I’ve watched this industry evolve in real time. And what I see now is a gap between how people are running their businesses and how the industry actually works today.
PR Clarity was built from that gap.
This work is not about motivation or surface-level strategy. It’s about identifying what’s not working in your business model, your positioning, and your offers, and giving you direct, strategic direction on what needs to change.
In 2026, I released my book, PR Is Dead (And Other Lies You Tell Yourself), challenging the traditional retainer-based model and pushing founders toward authority-driven, modern business structures.
If your business looks better than it performs, that’s where I come in.
